September 26, 2024 I Novelis announced the swift recovery and restart of its Sierre plant, which was severely impacted by a devastating flood at the end of June. Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of both the extended Novelis team and external specialists, the major assets could be restarted at the beginning of this week and are expected to resume production by the end of October.
