Cary Chenanda 

Executive Vice President and President, Novelis North America

Chenanda currently serves as the Executive Vice President and President of Novelis North America. He brings over 25 years of diverse experience from his tenure at Cummins, where he held positions in Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, Operations, and General Management. He has a proven track record of building organizations and leading high-performing teams.  

Most recently, Cary served as Vice President & General Manager of Cummins Emissions Solutions, overseeing a $4 billion business with 4,500 employees, 12 manufacturing plants, seven technical centers, and two joint ventures across the Americas, Australia, China, Europe, India, Japan, and South Korea. 

Before joining Cummins in 1998, Cary worked for Robert Bosch and Ecolab. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified Sponsor, as well as a Certified Purchasing Manager, holding seven U.S. patents. 

Cary currently serves as an Independent Director of Helios Technologies, a New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listed company. He is also a member of the Industry Advisory Council for the Mechanical Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. 

Cary holds an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Mysore, India.
