The surface is designed for use in both internal and external aluminum architecture, making it desirable for facades, roofing and interior cladding. Similar to our other anodized aluminum sheet products, Novelis G77Ac can be processed further, such as roll forming, stamping, edging and bending.
In contrast to other Novelis products, the gray matte tone that is characteristic of G77Ac during anodization forms naturally due to the special surface and alloy. No chromophoric substances are added during this process.
This innovation is further proof of Novelis’ unmatched experience and skill with surface structures, which ultimately determines the final look of the anodized aluminum sheet. Filaments in the defined intermetallic phases of the anodizing process lead to the special gray surface colorization.
G77Ac can be produced with an anodizing layer of between 8 and 20 µm according to the end use. The range of anodized surface layers can create a variety of gray shades to match the designer’s vision exactly.
G77Ac anodized aluminum sheet has a number of key properties that make it a material that works well in architectural applications inside and outside:
This material’s resistance to UV rays, weather and corrosion also help it to retain its color even in the harshest conditions.
Novelis G77Ac has the natural advantages not only of aluminum metal, but also of the Novelis anodizing process. Aluminum’s high quality, strength and cost-effectiveness are key to its construction uses. The anodized aluminum sheet surface also combines brilliance and color-fastness with excellent durability even when subjected to extreme loading and weathering. This powerful combination leads to a material that is:
